Welcome to Southern Classic Camaros! You’ve reached our clubs official website.
Our mission is to support the preservation and restoration of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation Camaros to include years 1967 – 1992 through a community of classic car enthusiasts. We endeavor to foster friendships and share our love of the classic Camaro while attending and contributing to the surrounding communities through fellowship, education and participation in club related events.
Who We Are & What We Do
First and foremost, we are a car club for Camaro enthusiasts. We celebrate and discuss everything the Chevrolet Camaro is about. We regularly get together for meetings, car shows, cruise-in’s, charitable events, and impromptu get togethers just for fun.
Even if you do not own a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd generation Camaro but are looking to learn about them, are interested in potentially buying one, or are perhaps in the process of a restoration and want greater support, we encourage you to consider joining our club!
We participate in many types of club organized events as well as automotive related events such as informal cruises, shop tours, club meetings, the twice-annual Charlotte AutoFair, and charitable events throughout the year.
We encourage you to join us at an upcoming event or stop in at one of our upcoming monthly club meetings to meet some club members, ask questions, and find out what the club is all about.
We are a state of North Carolina registered non-profit.
We have a shared passion for all things Camaro and for helping others. We believe that serving others in need only further strengthens our organization and the surrounding communities.
Why Join Southern Classic Camaros?
What our Members Have to Say
“We joined the Southern Classic Camaro club to share our love of Camaros and enjoy each other’s fellowship and to participate in all things Camaro, I bought my first used car in 1975, a 70 1/2 RS Camaro. Fell in love then and never looked back.
After being a member of another club I realized it didn’t offer the fellowship, activities and values that these classics and their owners deserve. Southern Classic Camaros is the club that promote these activities and and ideas within the club. True Camaro lovers and just down right good people with the common goal of keeping these classics for generations to admire.”
“My husband drove all the way to CA to get me a similar 70 with split bumper. We now have his and hers Camaros.”
“For as long as I can remember, I was attending car shows in the midwest with my entire family. Since that time, I made it a goal to work hard and purchase a classic Camaro. Well, I was able to accomplish that goal but not without a lot of work. I joined Southern Classic Camaros not only for the family atmosphere and fellowship but also to be able to show my car at local events and also learn more about my car from others in the club. I can say i’ve found a car club made up of members that share my same values.”
“I’ve wanted a 1969 Camaro since I was around 9-years old. I finally came across a nice semi-complete project and spent the next couple years working on it with my wife. I love my Camaro and she has won some recognition, but for me, it’s not about trophies…I get to drive this magnificent piece of history home.”
“After we completed my husband’s Camaro, I started looking for my own. It has been so much fun to do this together as a couple. Southern Classic Camaros is not just a boy’s club. This is a family club where everyone is included.”
