SCC Frequently Asked Questions
Who can join the club?
The Southern Classic Camaros club was formed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation Camaro owners and enthusiasts. Anyone over the age of 21 can join the club as a full voting member and families are also included in a standard membership.
Where is the club located and where are most club events held?
Our club is headquartered in the Charlotte, North Carolina metro area. We are not restricted by location but we typically attend and host events around the Charlotte area suburbs and could also include surrounding areas such as Fort Mill and Rock Hill, SC.
What does it cost to join?
Southern Classic Camaros has two membership types:
- Individual Membership (single member) – $30.00 per year
- Individual + Spouse/Partner Membership – $35.00 per year
The primary difference between memberships are the individual membership only includes a single member for voting rights within the club and the member can only show one car at club events. An individual membership does include family member attendance at our club events.
An Individual + Spouse/Partner membership includes two full voting rights members and allows both individuals to show vehicles at our club events. The Individual + Spouse/Partner membership also includes family member attendance at our club events.
Where are the monthly club meetings held?
We are currently in the infancy of getting our club setup and a fixed meeting location that works for the majority of our members is still being worked out. We also hold club meetings at the events we attend and those locations are variable. For the time being, please refer to our events page for upcoming club meetings/events.
What if I do not own a Camaro?
You do not need to own a Camaro to join our club. Our members are a wealth of information in the Camaro community, so whether you are just an enthusiast, maybe your looking to buy a Camaro, or you are in the process of a restoration of a Camaro, we encourage you to join us and leverage the knowledge of our club members.
Are donations to Southern Classic Camaros tax deductible?
The Southern Classic Camaros are a registered Non-Profit organization with the state of North Carolina. However, donations to the club are not considered Tax deductible on your personal or business tax returns.
